Chiropractor

I'm Dr. Stephanie! I grew up in Manistique in the UP and have always been a small town girl at heart. I went to Ferris State University for my bachelor's degree then headed further south to Davenport, Iowa to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic.

I struggled with my own health problems, especially during my undergraduate years. Constant nausea, headaches, lightheadedness, weakness, and difficulties concentrating made school difficult, as well as maintaining a healthy body weight. I explored all avenues of Western medicine - doctors, tests, more doctors - that provided no answers or relief. Frustrated with finding no help, I finally turned to Chiropractic care. After several adjustments, my symptoms virtually disappeared. I learned that when the nervous system can properly communicate with the body, health takes place. This life changing experience is what convinced me to change my path from psychology to chiropractic care. My passion has always been helping people and chiropractic has helped me fulfill that.

While I was at Palmer I was looking for more hands-on experience so my roommate introduced me to the Troxell Intern program. An extensive program, this was my introduction to the proficiency of the Gonstead system. I became the head intern of the program and was able to learn from the head doctors. I love educating people about their spines and how they directly correlate with their overall health.

Outside of the office I enjoy quiet days at home with my husband and son, being outdoors, and watching football with my family - Go, Pack, Go!

Hi! I'm Rachel! I'm the face you see when you walk through the door - helping you get scheduled, answering any of your questions, and generally being entertaining in the waiting room. I like to say I have a background in adventures; accumulating experiences and skills while I've traveled my way through life. I originally hail from Traverse City, landing in Petoskey 4 years ago after making stops in Wisconsin, Oregon, and Nebraska with my other half.

Outside of the office I'm a pretty average CrossFitter, aspiring author, voracious reader, and adventurer. I do everything I can to keep Ben (the other half) on his toes by saying yes to any adventure presented to me and figuring out the details later. When I'm not behind the desk you can find me at the gym, on the back of a Harley, or out on my porch with a book.
